Summary

In a small town, an elderly innkeeper named Weng reluctantly accommodates four travelers in a room containing his recently deceased daughter-in-law's body. During the night, the corpse mysteriously rises, blowing on the sleeping guests and creating an atmosphere of terror. One traveler escapes and seeks refuge with a Dao Ren, pursued by the corpse. The supernatural encounter ends with the woman becoming mysteriously frozen while clinging to a tree. The local magistrate investigates, and the traumatized survivor struggles to explain the bizarre events that led to the disappearance of his three companions.
