Summary

In the secluded mountains of Sishui, a Zen temple houses a Dao Shi and a fearsome Giant Snake that protects wandering souls. One night, a young lad, lost while hunting, encounters the Dao Shi, who offers him porridge. The giant snake appears, but the Dao Shi commands it away, assuring the guest of safety. Another smaller snake also appears, heightening the guest's fear. After a sleepless night, they leave the temple, but outside, a massive creature looms. Meanwhile, at the Snake Buddha Temple, a guest discovers that his meal contains snake meat and later finds snakes crawling on him. The monk explains that the Buddha once quelled a chaotic snake, bringing peace.
