Summary

In Feng Dou County, an inspector named Hua Gong entered a cave believed to be the office of Yama. Inside, he encountered noble officials who revealed that he was in the Netherworld, and that his fate was sealed. However, a golden-armored deity granted him a chance to return to life due to a general pardon. Guided by divine figures, Hua Gong recited Buddhist scriptures to illuminate his path, eventually escaping the darkness, while the fate of his attendants remained unknown. In another tale, a widow from the Li family in Xing became pregnant with a child that initially appeared as a dragon's head. After a day of labor, she delivered a girl with translucent flesh and visible organs, leaving behind dragon scales as remnants.
