Summary

In Tianjin, storks nested at a temple, but a giant snake devoured their chicks each year. After three years, the storks returned and sought help from a massive bird that swooped down, decapitating the snake. This act was seen as vengeance for the storks. In Ji Nan, a soldier shot a stork, which continued to fly with the arrow lodged in it for over two years. Eventually, the arrow fell, and as the soldier picked it up, it accidentally killed him when a strong wind slammed the gate shut, driving the arrow through his skull.
