Summary

A scholar traveling to Jinling for imperial examinations encounters three scholars (Qiu Heng, Chang Feng Lin, and Ma Xi Chi) in Suqian. They share wine and decide to write essays on proposed topics. After composing and reviewing their works, they drink heavily and rest. The scholar awakens in a valley, discovering he's near the legendary "Cave of the Three Immortals". Surprisingly, the essays he copied perfectly match the exam topics, leading to his successful examination. The mysterious encounter suggests supernatural intervention by three spiritual creatures residing in the cave.
