Summary

Xu Liao enters a thatched cottage, feels rage, and kills everyone in a palace before continuing to an internet café where he randomly murders gamers, driven by dark impulses. He eventually reaches a mountain peak, confronts a towering man, realizes he is trapped in an illusion created by the Nine-Headed Phoenix, and shatters the illusion. He restores his memories and gains wisdom, understanding the limitations of bloodline inheritance. He offers to take the Nine-Headed Phoenix with him, but mocks her belief in his conscience before breaking free from the illusion.
