Summary

Xu Liao decides to go into seclusion to master the Jade Cauldron Heart Method. He enjoys a conversation with Bai Qiu Lian, who prepares fruits for him. Xu Liao is impressed by her skill in weaving a "Double Heart Knot," a technique from the Bai family that includes household spells. Despite his cleverness, he struggles to learn it and feels dejected. Bai Qiu Lian reassures him that it's normal for a guy not to master it. Xu Liao uses his technique to untangle the string and prepares to leave, receiving two Double Heart Knots as gifts from Bai Qiu Lian. He tosses one away but retrieves it, while the other disappears. Upon returning to his cave, he meets Lu Lang, who brings a message from Jie Sun, asking Xu Liao to let Bai Qiu Lian go for a hefty reward. Xu Liao laughs off the offer, asserting his feelings for Bai Qiu Lian and insisting Jie Sun needs to offer more. Lu Lang is astonished by Xu Liao's response.
