Summary

Xu Liao, feeling disappointed, is approached by Wu Fan, who recognizes ancient characters from the pages Xu Liao almost tore up. Wu Fan informs him that they are written in the Dragon Seal Phoenix Script, which is rarely studied now. He advises Xu Liao to get a dictionary of ancient characters from their sect's library to learn it. After receiving the dictionary, Xu Liao attempts to translate the jade cauldron's heart technique but struggles due to the lack of a general outline in the texts. Despite multiple attempts, he fails to activate the technique. Meanwhile, he notices a group of blue-scaled magical beasts threatening his black armored insects. To counter this, he sends nearly a thousand more insects into the Demon Abyss, but loses many to void currents. After regrouping, his insects gain strength and engage the magical beasts, achieving victory but suffering losses. After reclaiming the small mountain peak, Xu Liao's insects consume spiritual energy, causing a hidden formation to collapse and release energy. Just as he celebrates, he learns he must leave Yunlan Peak, which he finds frustrating.
