Summary

In a dramatic tale of revenge and tragedy, Yin Xiang Xue, after her husband Yuan Min's murder, performs a final opera where she secretly replaces a prop sword with a real one, committing suicide on stage during the "Farewell My Concubine" performance. Before her death, she gifts two qipaos to A Yu, which later becomes a point of suspicion. Dou Li Zhang and A Yu are subsequently arrested and interrogated for seven days, accused of hiding Yin Xiang Xue's supposed hidden wealth, with Dou Li Zhang eventually breaking under the pressure of worry for his mother.
